Nene Hilario just recieved a 6 year 60 million dollar extension from the Nuggets. I know that he is young and talented but 10 million a year for a guy that really didnt even play this year. I think this is extremely stupid.
This is a huge contract for a guy that has not proven himself....The Nuggets are a cap mess right now and they still haven't gotten a shooter/scorer yet...I'm sick of all these average players getting huge contracts they don't deserve.
Even though he did not play last season I think Denver did a good job keeping him.And yea they need a SG. Last season they went after AI, and they are still probably trying to get him.
They are a candidate for Bonzi Wells. According to Real GM, they already set the bar on him for 5 mil a year..
Did you miss the part of them wanting to sign Reggie Evans with a portion of the MLE. So they can't offer the full MLE to Bonzi.
i dont know why people are just handing out those huge contracts to guys like that. Tyson, Dalembert, and now nene.
Wow I definetly think a 6 year 60 mil. deal is overpaying Nene. I really don't think hes worth that much at all. He really better prove himself this season
This is a bad move. He better play out to be as good as he ius hyped up to be or this could go down as an Isiah Thomas esque GM move.
I mean, Nene is a young guy who has alot of potential but he didnt even play last year. I think its extremely stupid of Denver to just give him a HUGE contract when they dont know how he will come back after his injury.
Nene re-signing was a good move, but this is too much money. This is more than Ben Wallace is getting paid. I know Wallace's contract is only for 4 years, but that is still too much
They should reward worthy players with big contracts, not just hand out max contracts only because of a players' "potential". Then, they might not try as hard because they already have everything they could ever dream of.
