Sam Cassell, marcus banks,or al harrington, bobby jackson and peja both went to the hornets so either banks or cassell and i guess we dont need harrington anymore since we got radmonovic, maybe a better center/powerforward that could start instead of kwame...course i dont know how much bynum will play this year and if mihm will indeed be traded so..the only spot we really need filled is point guard

This off-season you have to look for a Center or PG. So..Nazr Mohammed or Joel Pryzbilla could be good signings. Also Marcus Banks or Sam Cassell. If they could get those 2 things, they could boost up to a 5th or 6th seed..which is pretty high for the Western Conference.

Sorry to burst your bubbles but Cassel is not an option. He has already agreed with terms with LA to sign a two-year 13 million dollar deal. Marcus Banks is an average point guard but an upgrade to Smush.Bobby Jackson is probably also locked to sign with New Orleans.

yea so banks is are only option for a guard through free agency, and if kobe takes that paycut then we can offer him the contract he wants, well give him the full MLE

Marcus Banks and Nazr Mohammad. Nazr is an upgrade to Mihm and Kwame, because Mihm isn't durable and Kwame isn't quite good yet. Nazr plays good defense and can score if needed at the post. Marcus Banks is more than solid, he's pretty good. He's an excellent defender, one of the better guard defenders and he can dish the ball too and score also. He's what the Lakers are looking for at the 1 spot.

^ What are you talking about? Kwameshits sucks ass, I hate it when Laker fans have too much confidence in Kwameshits. They need a better center, Nazr is a possiblity. They don't need a PF, they got one in Vladmir Radmonivic. And of course they need a PG, so Duhon, Cassell, or Banks, I.M.O.

Kwame is one of the best interior defensive players in the league, and he's definitely improving on the offensive end. Vladimir Radmanovic is a liability on the defensive end, and pretty much just a spot up shooter on the offensive end. He's a good backup, but if he's starting at power forward then there's a problem.

He always was, it was his ability and confidence on the other side of the ball that was terrible early on.

IMO Sam Cassell could be a great addition to the team. Well him or a better post player.

But just stating the obvious that you are just hating on Kwame when he is actually improving. He played great in playoffs and towards the end of the season. He is improving. He isn't one of the best defenders in the NBA he is a very good one though, esp maning up, which most interior defenders excell at off ball D. Give him some credit. Congrats on adding one on to the post count though.

yeah i gotta agree with D-Rob, kwame is underated and most likely will be a very solid player in the nba for a while. What no one will say (or remember, or even know) is that kwame was drafted as an 18 year old, to a franchise run by a michael jordan whom at the very least was every bit the rookie that kwame was at the front office gig. Mj has even very publicy admitted that he rode(an eighteen year-old BOY) way way too hard,as mj NEEDED kwame to succeed for himself be successful. Kwame has recieved an unfair rap because of it. Also lets be real, dougie collins is much better announcer than he is a coach, and from my point of view, thats not saying a whole lot. [IMG] Also, mihm is also highly underrated, not his fault that refs only see him committing fouls  Ive seen that guy do some pretty good stuff. Really. my only complaint with him is that i think he needs to bulk up a bit. With aliitle extra strength mihm can run with any center in this league.I want kevin garnett, by the way. Power forward.

He can't pick up the ball he's lazy on defense and he can not finish on offense. He's improving a little on his defense but his offense is still mediocre. Don't give him so much credit before he's even done much. He started improving some in the playoffs but the Lakers bowed out in the first round so we didn't see that much of Kwame's "new-found powers which he acquired mysteriously"Btw, look around the board. I have more high-quality posts than you. Members like BCB and CB4 who are a lot smarter and have better posts than you make posts like that slip.

Kwame was moved to center (his natural position) and he gained confidence. I will go up against anyone and debate why I'm a better poster than D Rob.Kwame is as inconsistent as Smush Parker. For the rest of the year, he scored more but he wasn't scoring on skill, he got the ball a lot more since he was in the starting rotation and Chris Mihm wasn't even in the lineup.
