Once Chris was out, he was forced into it, and with no pressure of being benched he did well.

I don't need the rest of the forum's opinion, I could give the forum legit and real facts to prove why I am the better poster. You just don't like me as a poster because I disagree with you when you say the Lakers are mediocre but Kwame Brown isn't. Exactly, he was terrible the first half of the season. He slowly improved, but don't jump to a conclusion yet. You haven't seen his full potential, don't say he is one of the best defenders in the league when he isn't. The best defenders in the league are not lazy and slow. He is not good on offense at all. He can not pick up the ball and misses extremely easy shots all the time. You say he is improving but he is a 6-11 center who's been in the league for 5 years now and he can't establish himself. Dwight Howard has been in the league for 2 years, he's 3 years younger and came out of high school just like him, and has already made a mark in the NBA.

If he was, he wouldn't be able to do the kind of defensive jobs he did this season on Tim Duncan, Kevin Garnett, and Shaq.<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (AirBlaze @ Jul 5 2006, 07:26 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>He is not good on offense at all. He had no confidence at the beginning of the season because everything was new to him and he didn't understand the offense, so his entire game collapsed. But from March 12th on, he got back his confidence and started to become the player everyone wants him to be.

Now I've come to the point where Idc if I convince you. I truely believe Kwame is lazy. And Kwame was inconsistent still late in the season, some nights he'd do a good job scoring 15 grabbing 7 boards but other nights 8/3. :dunno:

Give me an example of him being lazy.<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (AirBlaze @ Jul 5 2006, 07:42 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>And Kwame was inconsistent still late in the season, some nights he'd do a good job scoring 15 grabbing 7 boards but other nights 8/3. :dunno:</div>That's fine, a little inconsistency from a guy like Kwame is expected. He's an average NBA player.

If you say Kwame is lazy and slow you haven't watched a Laker game or aren't a smart basketball watcher. Kwame used to be a guard and can move very fast. Look at his days from washington. I've heard Kwame has no heart, doesn't practice, has low Bbal IQ. But quickness is not his issue. He guarded SteveNash on the other end of pick n rolls at times and actually did an alright job. Phil wouldn't play him so much against the fricken PHOENIX "RUN RUN RUN" SUNS if he wasn't quick. As for laziness on D that's just downright stupid right there. He's a great man to man defender and although he's not the longest he can stop Shaq from backing him down. If you mean he's lazy on rotations you're wrong, he's just doesn't know them.Point is diss him, all you want just actually KNOW the player. You probably guessed he was "slow and lazy" because he look big and doesn't put up monster stats,

Haha, Airblaze you are a much funnier poster then I that is for sure. Your right I am a Celtics fan, so I must not watch any other games. I am not saying I am a better poster than you, I am no cocky son of a bi*ch like yourself so I wouldn't say something so trivial. I live in Ca so I watch every Lakers game that's why I am joining in this debate. All I am saying is Kwame is improving and I think he deserves some credit. I don't remember saying much else then that besides messing with you for spamming.

Nazr and Przybilla are no longer options. I think Kwame can be a good enough player for the LAkers. His scoring is not called upon much and his defense is improving. He just needs to become a better passer in the triangle.

But he is not one of the best defenders in the league.Arya, I watch many Laker games, I have NBA League Pass. Also I watch every game aired on National TV. Kwame gets lazy a lot and fails to move to the center of the paint to defend against a driving guard.

He might have a low basketball IQ, and therefore not switch off his man and onto the man with the ball but he is not lazy.

If he's not lazy then he's slow to defend the player driving to the paint because half the time he doesn't make it in time. One or the other.
