Chris Mannix of Sports Illustrated tweeted this Tuesday night: "I think Rondo is available for the right (big) offer." So while Grousbeck has spoken otherwise, the whispers remain. --- UPDATE: Celtics co-owner Wyc Grousbeck was a guest on WEEI on May 25 and according to CSNNE.com, he said he doesn't think Garnett, Pierce, Allen or Rondo will be traded. "I love the Big 3, the Big 4. I love those guys," said Grousbeck. "I think the fans love seeing them together. I haven't heard anything from Doc [Rivers] or Danny [Ainge] or anybody else about anything we're planning to do." Grousbeck also said, "We ought to look to keep these guys together, and add two or three more pieces if we can, aggressively." -- Nick Borges ---- In his Wednesday chat, ESPN's Chad Ford noted this about whether Boston will do any deals this summer. "Yes, I think Danny Ainge will shake things up this summer," he wrote. "I think Rajon Rondo and Paul Pierce are safe. Not sure about anyone else on the roster." While it may sound a little nuts that Ray Allen and Kevin Garnett aren't on Ford's "safe" list, remember that Ainge did pull the trigger on trading Kendrick Perkins at the deadline -- a popular player and leader in the locker room. As such, any deal that could improve the roster for the future involving Garnett or Allen might not be entirely out of the question this offseason.
No shit. you mean if Miami offers Wade and LeBron for Rondo, Ainge would do it? I mean, seriously, Mannix could have tweeted "I just pooped" and it would have the same significance.
