I doubt he gets past Philly or New York.

If we don't move up, I am all for him at 21. We need a solid backup PF. It seems like 1 more year with Dre at PG is highly likely.

    Slightly misleading title...

The Sporting News is not REPORTING that we'll take him at 21... He's who they have us taking at 21 in their mock draft... Unless they cite some sources w/ inside knowledge, this is nothing more than a wild ass guess (see: every other mock draft out there)...

OMG someone creating an extra thread such as this just ruined my day! It probably dropped one of HCP joke threads to the second page.

Why don't we have one single thread combining all draft talk, trade talk, free agent talk, and lockout news then we can have 52 threads about Lebron's mom and what Oden had for last Tuesday's dinner.

I don't see a problem, personally, with having different threads about the Blazers' rumors leading up to the draft.

One big thread about such an important topic seems like a bad idea to me, in fact.

I completely agree. In a combination thread, you have to go back every day to see if there are any updates, and scroll through dozens of posts to find the latest rumor. I'd much rather see multiple posts with various reports or rumors. It's one of the things that makes this board fun.

Totally threw me off too. Not the first time it's been done by the OP either. http://sportstwo.com/threads/189115-SI-says-we-re-taking-Chris-Singleton

Everybody suspects Portland to big with their first pick so this pick isn't surprising and I would be happy with it.

Faried has an elite skill while Markieff doesn't (you could argue his jumper) so I think there's a chance he's there and Faried isn't despite what the mocks are saying right now.

He fits in nicely as a back-up 4 for 20 to 25 minutes in a couple years (doesn't have the size to slide to the 5 but Aldridge has shown that he can play the 5 if needed) and also can play with Oden if he's healthy and still with the team. Faried is way too limited offensively to do that.

Yes, it's their mock draft. They are PREDICTING this is who the Blazers will take.

Why can't you just learn to title things correctly?

Why can't you just speak to people like a moderator, instead of a snippy 19-year-old?
