89 - Adu wins a throw-in off of Baloy. US is looking to possess the game until its over. But Dempsey goes to the corner flag and gives up a goal kick as I'm typing that.

90 - US looking now to dump the ball into the Panama keeper and reassemble the defense. We'll have three minutes of stoppage time.

90+ - Jones is down, not sure why, looks like he's saying he got hit in the face. Panama is displeased. Replay shows Jones took a boot in the face. Lots of arguing, some pushing and shoving.

90+ - Another attacking throw from Machado. Jones and Dempsey combine to eliminate the threat. Machado throws it back in, ball goes through to Godoy and wrestles through a couple of US defenders and flips a shot over goal. Lots of colliding all over the place. Dempsey and Jones with two Panamanians atop the 18 on the ground and Bedoya and Lichaj went down from Godoy.

90+ - Adu somehow earns an attacking throw. Cherundolo throws it short to Adu, who is pushed off the ball by Baloy who is huge.

After four minutes of a three minute stoppage, the ref blows the game dead and the US wins 1-0 to get some revenge from the group stage defeat. US are in the final for the fourth straight Gold Cup.

The game was much different in the second half. Panama was much more threatening after not doing much of anything in the first. For the US though, Freddy Adu was the supersub and not Landon Donovan. Who would have seen that coming other than Freddy Adu?

That was his first match for the US in over two years. Too soon to say that he's figured it out, but this was certainly one of the better flashes of brilliance he has shown in his career.

Honduras and Mexico kick off in an hour.

We have the pregame warm-ups going on now on Univision. Mexico is wearing their black for black's sake uniforms, which means that they do not deserve to win this tournament based on their sartorial mishap. Only question now is will it be the more appropriately dressed Honduras or United States to take them out?

Also, the Univision guys are talking about Chad Ochocinco, and one of them made a John Cena reference while discussing Dempsey's goal. Lots of confusion in the booth. That's in addition to the awkwardness of Marcelo Balboa and Hugo Sanchez sitting next to each other, clearly lacking any interest in engaging each other in discussion.

And yes, I realize I'm live posting about a pregame show in a language that I can only barely follow. I've hit a new low.
