    Fail!!!!

If you wanna play with the big boys, you have to be willing to experience a little bit of pain. Fucking amateurs. I guess they like first round and out

It's certainly a helluva comfort zone based on most of this franchise's history.

Jefferson only has 2 years plus a player option. He makes less than max money, and last season averaged 11/4 and shot .440 from 3

You guys making fun of our front office could at least criticize them based on the things said in the rumors.

So if the Spurs insisted Jefferson be included, it means the Blazers would have to include one of Camby, Matthews, Wallace, Aldridge, or Roy. Roy and Aldridge wouldn't be included for obvious reasons, so would you entertain taking on Jefferson by adding Camby, Matthews, or Wallace?

Parker, Crash and LaMarcus... along with hopefully Oden and a little bit of Roy would be sweet. Get 'er done Chad.

Yeah, not sure I understand. I want Parker, and like the original deal. Adding something like a Wallace for Jefferson swap? I dunno about that.

Include Jefferson if that's what it takes. He's not so bad and in a couple years he'll be an expiring contract and we can try to trade him for another Gerald Wallace or Tony Parker!

My comment wasn't about this front office and its competence (or lack thereof?) I was simply clarifying that I don't think the team "likes" being one and done so much as they tend to gravitate there.

As for the inclusion of Camby or Wesley or some such to take on Jefferson's contract I don't know if I would do that or not (maybe?) ... but Wallace would be too rich for my blood.

    Wallace no. Camby yes.

Camby wasn't an impact player after his knee surgery and his career is probably done after this season.

Draft and FA signings could have easily solved that

Some free agent big men out there (unrestricted):

    Tyson Chandler
    Andrei Kirilenko
    Samuel Dalembert
    Glen Davis
    Hilton Armstrong
    Nenad Krstic
    Troy Murphy
    Nazr Mohammed
    Joel Przybilla
    Kwame Brown
    Kenyon Martin
    Dan Gadzuric
    Kris Humphries
    Kurt Thomas
    Jeff Foster
    Josh McRoberts
    Chris Wilcox
    Brian Cardinal
    Kyrylo Fesenko

Not all amazing, but there's many serviceable names in the bunch.

Im with you. Maybe not the namecalling part haha, but I believe Parker would be an excellent addition to this team even at the expense of Jefferson's bloated contract. At some point if you want to be a championship contending team you have to give to get and the Blazers just don't like giving (or if they do they don't like receiving a bloated contract which can be understandable, but has to be necessary sometimes). Just see the Gerald Wallace trade, very little was traded. While Jefferson isn't the greatest of players, he isn't that toxic of a contract, he can still help a little, and definitely help a lot more then our very own toxic contract in Roy. Knowing that this team as constructed now won't win a title, you have to take some risks. This is one of those risks, it could pay off or it could bite us in the ass. But at least we can turn two vets in Miller and Camby into something rather then them retiring or leaving town once there contract is up. Trading Batum stings, but come on guys, we have Wallace who is still a baller and Parker > Batum.

you know what...if we did this deal, we might actually be a desired destination for a few nice free agents...

So does Brian Cardinal. He's owed $40m and is steadily declining:

    22.6 PPG -- 17.4 PER
    19.6 PPG -- 15.4 PER
    12.3 PPG -- 13.1 PER
    11.0 PPG -- 12.4 PER

He's not Rashard Lewis toxic but he's just a tier below.

That's a good point. With Boston and the Lakers on the decline, not every free agent can go to the Heat or Mavs.
