"One potential suitor for Martin is Dallas. Sources say the Mavericks are interested in adding toughness and athleticism to their front line." says Sports.espn.goAny one else heard anything like that?

No, but I'm not sure, shouldn't this be in the Dallas Team forum, or at least a trade forum, cause I don't think his orginal team lets him walk like that.

Ehh, I don't think he fits in Dallas. I mean you have Dirk, Dampier being hard to move (contract), and Diop playing very well. There is no room for him unless they can unload Damp, and even then, Denver doesn't need Dampier. And no way you can play K-Mart as a 3, I mean sure he can pop a 14 footer but he's no 3 and he's too slow. I don't think he'll find himself in Dallas unless a 3rd team is involved.

I would hate to see him on Dallas. Just because that would probalby mean not as much time for Dirk. And, well he just wouldn't fit. Right now Dallas should stay the way they are. They have a terrific team. Now all they need is to play good ball and win it all.

I don't know why Kmart would play the 3 at all...except maybe if Josh Howard is resting or out for the game...he's a much better 3, and a better fit for our team than kmart.

Dallas needs to stay comptletely away from this. All Martin will do is cause trouble, having a reduced role and all. Add the fact that his play has been on the decline somehow, and do you really expect productivity?

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>"One potential suitor for Martin is Dallas. Sources say the Mavericks are interested in adding toughness and athleticism to their front line." says Sports.espn.go</div> That's such a open statement, it shouldn't even be bothered to read into. It basically just throws Dallas out there as a POTENTIAL suitor with no real facts. It basically takes what Dallas needs and puts Kmart's name out there, trying to make something stick.

ahem, Dirk Nowitzki? I dont like KMart playing Center, and he would ask for alot. I dont think Dallas needs to add a huge contract for no reason, hence they are already one of the best teams in the NBA. I think they should pass on this guy..

What you mean ask for a lot, he's already under contract and his contract sucks. That's why Denver wants to get out of it. Cuban is not trying to go over the luxury tax, so no way he trades for Kmart. Rumors are running rampant.

Sorry, buut KMart will ask for more than 5 mil. I dont think you want to pay for him with your current cap situation..And also, hed be a waste of time. He would suck playing center quite frankly..

Kenyon Martin can't play the 3. He can't play the 5. He wont come off the bench. He would never fit in with Dallas.

i suppose he wouldn't be a horrible backup, but i don't know if they'd find much time for him. That's weird that they used the word "toughness" though. ha

Why are you talking like he is? Get with the program CB4, and you basically responded to my post like I wanted him. "What you mean ask for a lot, he's already under contract and his contract sucks. That's why Denver wants to get out of it. Cuban is not trying to go over the luxury tax, so no way he trades for Kmart. Rumors are running rampant." So where did I say I want him or even state we would use the MLE on him? I even told you he's not a free agent but yet your talking like he is. [IMG]

I'm guessing that the Nuggets will end up cutting him..Not sure whats gonna happen though. Either way, I think it would be stupid for the Mavs to take him because like someone said before, he has a pretty big contract, he cant play the 3 or the 5, and you have Dirk playing the 4.

When will the real CB4 come back. The Nuggets can't cut Martin. You dont cut a contract that big.

CB4 what the heck are you talking about? If they added KMart they would use him like they did Walker and/or Jamison. The thing is I'm not sure he would be ok coming off the bench, and he is no where near as versitile are either one of them. I guess if he thought he had a chance at a ring?
