yeah i know, just sort of lamenting the fact that we could have just signed a felton type pg for the MLE if we so desired
I don't know man....Felton's career PER is 14.5 and Udrih's is 14.1. Felton's strengths are more suited to a running game, and we all know Nate doesn't run. In any event - the point is Felton isn't much, if any, better than the Udrih's of the world, but the asking price in a trade was significantly more.
I asked a knicks fan: You'll like him. Decent defender. Once he gets up to speed, he's great in the pick and roll. Not really an uptempo PG, so I'm not sure if he fits with the Blazers or not. A good enough shooter that you don't want to leave him open. Suprisingly good rebounder, too. He's usually out of shape though, so expect a slow start.
oh for fucks fucking sake...we had an average player in miller already but... who cares? earl boykins, antonio daniels, earl watson, chris quinn... does it matter? and like i said, sac was begging someone to take udrih. calderon could be had for a song...luke ridnour, etc, etc, and so on if felton is an average player, heres a hint, those arent that hard to find, in fact we already had one just seems like alot of wasted time and effort to get the 20th best pg in the league
Guys guys. In January, people were talking about Felton being an All Star. http://bleacherreport.com/articles/...ons-raymond-felton-deserves-to-be-an-all-star He was playing GREAT with New York. Then he went to Denver and completely turned around their season, helping lead them to a 50 win season. Felton is not very very average. He's an up and comer borderline All Star.
this is what im talking about! testify my brother! more of this stuff please someone tell me about his lock down defense
More talk about Felton's great start last year: http://forums.realgm.com/boards/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=1069625&sid=079b16f21be7354f9ec94a2103280195
This writer makes a case for Felton being an All Star: http://www.nysportsdigest.com/2010/...s-spot-on-eastern-conference-all-star-roster/ I don't remember ANYONE saying this stuff about Andre Miller.
Felton steals the ball, leads the break, throws alley oop to Chandler: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N6Uv0T7KaCk&feature=relmfu
There was a stretch of games when he played for Charlotte where he was on fire. I watched a game I think against the Lakers or Jazz where he hit big shot after big shot and brought them back for the victory. He was unstoppable. Now to be honest I did not watch the whole game so his play making skills may suck, but he will be another guy at the end of a game that will take (and make) the big shot. And we certainly need that. IMO it was an upgrade. Just not as exciting as we had all hoped for.
From what I have seen....he is a streaky shooter, But aren't most players? I know i wanted Monta Eliis badly, but even he is a streaky shooter. What other PGs got traded tonight?
