<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>The Cleveland Cavaliers have begun talks with restricted free agent Drew Gooden, but according to The Morning Journal the team would prefer to square away the extension negotiations with superstar LeBron James before taking care of other matters.Gooden, according to his agent, is listening to other options and has received ''some bites''. Should Gooden sign an offer sheet with another team, the Cavaliers have seven days to match. The Cavaliers reportedly spoke to the agents for two other big men -- Portland center Joel Przybilla and Memphis forward/center Lorenzen Wright. Also, they talked to agent Mark Bartelstein about Los Angeles Lakers swingman Devean George, who is unrestricted.</div>
I think they should resign Gooden, however I understand wanting to get Lebron taken care of first. Wright would make a sick backup. I think George would be a nice player off the bench for them.
If Lorenzen Wright can run the floor better than Z, I would definately make a push for him. The entire roster is more geared to get up and down the court, and Z doesnt do that well. George would be a very nice addition off the bench to give either James or Hughes a rest. Of course, Gooden needs to resign.
to tell you the truth george isnt really that great,he wasnt really part of the three-peat at all besides making like 2 three-pointers maybe, later in his carear he became a great hustler and rebounder, but he is very injury prone and only plays hard in contract years,im not surprised the lakers dont want him anymore to match an offer to him, george bricks about every shot he shoots but makes them occasionally, and sometimes he has a breakout game for like 12 points(thats on occasion) george would be an decent pickup as long as you guys dont overpay him and his bright side is that he is a good rebounder and sometimes a spark off of the bench
I would like to see Lorenzen Wright in Cleveland. Our 2nd best true center is Martynas Andriuskivicius.
They obviously need to sign some more players to make Lebron happy. Also, the players they signed last year have just been disasters. THey might want to try and trade Marshall and DJ..
