WBC middleweight champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. (43-0, 30 KO’s) says he’ll be defending his title against number #6 ranked World Boxing Council contender Peter Manfredo Jr. (37-6, 20 KO’s) next, which is slated for November 19th, according to Fight News. Following that fight, if Chavez Jr. wins, he’ll be required to defend his WBC title against his number #1 mandatory challenger Marco Antonio Rubio (51-5-1, 44 KO’s) next year. Chavez Jr. says he’ll fight Rubio. Chavez Jr. says he could face Sergio Martinez and/or WBA junior middleweight champion Miguel Cotto after that. Chavez Jr. also says a fight against WBC junior middleweight champion Saul Alvarez is one that he’d like but it’s not up to him to make the fight. His promoter would be the decider.
