Mike James is tired of being treated like a cheap prostitute.

    Ya I think he's basically off Toronto's list, except for a sign-and-trade

I'm hoping we can do a sign and trade here, because Id like to get a 2nd SG here, and why not get more value for him. There have been reports of Marquis Daniels, but I doubt the Mavs would go that far for a 2nd or 3rd stringer..

Marquis played just over 11 minutes per game in the playoffs... he just doesn't really fit into our system. It's not that we don't like him, but it seems to me like Avery doesn't want to give him the time he needs to flourish. James probably isn't my favorite person to trade for, but he could get decent minutes. Yeah, not starter minutes, but around 20-25 like DRob said. It doesn't matter if we have two PGs right now, since we play Harris and Terry in unison all the time. Take one of them out, and bam, insert James. I don't see what the problem is with that. Harris is still young. He was forced a bit too early, and I think he needs a bit less pressure. James would be good for fixing that, if he doesn't act like a complete retard. And the Raptors would be lucky to have a highly underrated player in Marquis.

I think some of you guys are thinking he'll be brought in to be a starter, or will be brought in to be a key part of the Mavs success...when in actuality, if he's even brought in, he will just be another peice to the puzzle, who'll contribute when needed, but not totally depended upon.I don't think he'll be a team killer in Dallas, or will complain.Dallas has a history of bringing in troubled players, and making them fit into it's system and team chemistry...and I don't think it's even as big a deal about playing time and minutes as most people are making it out to be.He'll team up with Terry, Harris, and Ager to form a very nice 4 guard rotational lineup...perfect for this team...all will get plenty of time.

Ager will not be over Stack in the guard rotation. And with Griff possibly coming back, he will further down. It all sounds like James will go back to Houston though. News is he's going to visit Houston after Rockets offered the full MLE. He's from Houston, they've brought him on the news and their just going after him harder.

Dallas kept Terry so I don't think they will sign James. So I guess Houston will be the team the get's him.

Ahhh.... Mike James, goes to a team rebuilding and puts up good numbers. Why? Because he did not pass. Sure he averaged 6 APG, at some point during every game he found CB4 open for a few assists. But after watching the season (including every home game in person) I saw a player who took shots too early in the possession, and lived by the three. I cannot however suggest that he is not a good player, as he made a lot of those ill advised shots. I just do not like him at the point. The Raptors are Bosh's team, just give him the ball!! TJ Ford will certainly be looking for Bosh everytime he goes up the court. I don't see the point in a sign and trade, let him go. We have a good core, let's see what Graham, Tucker, and Bargnani do this year. Give them a chance, instead of some throw-in just for the sake of getting something in return.

OT-but welcome fellow Raptor fan. Stick around. We have a few full time Raptor fans here like JoshBosh and Chris, then we have semi-Raptor fans like KMart and dsoung, and then we have headliner, but he doesnt post that much..btw I agree on your take on Mike James. Countless times, he refused to pass the ball to Bosh or someone else in closing minutes, and countless times he was doubled and missed a potential game-winner..

Gimme a break Mike James. He's the PG version of Tim Thomas. "I play good for 1 season, now pay me"The only NBA player that should ever feel needy for a home is Jim Jackson. 13 years, 11 teamsDon't get me wrong though, Mike is on that track5 years, 6 teams
