So I'm thinking of ditching Comcast...and was wondering what kind of other options are out there.

I thought I remembered the blazers website would let you stream games some of the time for about $5 a game. Anyone remember the details?

A better option would probably be NBA league pass. I know they sell different versions of it for the computer, TV, and mobile devices. Anyone have league pass? I am assuming the Blazers games aren't somehow blacked out, right? Also, I would prefer to watch the games on my TV rather than my computer, but if you have to buy the TV version of league pass through Comcast, which I will no longer have. Anyone know if there are any smart tvs or smart tv devices that have a league pass app? I guess I could always just hook up my laptop to my TV with an HDMI, but I'm hoping for a "cleaner" way.

There's only one other option and that's using illegal streams on the web.

    Well, there's always season tickets.

Or buy league pass on someone's TV somewhere else, and use slingbox to view it in Portland.

    Also, moving to another state.

Make friends with someone with Comcast, and watch the games at their place.

Or get a job as HCP's assistant.

The streaming option was free this year, but it was only for KGW games. I think it worked out to about 15 games total. However, the quality wasn't the greatest as there would be frequent pauses for buffering (it wasn't my internet connection) and in stream stoppage (The first quarter of Game 4 of the playoffs and the last quarter of close game I don't recall the opponent). Basically, I wouldn't count on it as a solid source.

My uncle who lives in Beaverton gets CSNNW through FIOS. Is that available in your area?

And yes, League Pass games will be blacked out if you live anywhere in the Blazers' broadcast area.

If you have a friend outside of th broadcast area, I heard you can change your dish address to their house and tell dish you moved all the equipment yourself. The catch is you will lose all your local broadasting but you will be out of th blackout zone for league pass. I have only heard this works and have not tired it or personally know anyone who has tried it though.

I found recently that http://www.firstrowsports.eu/ seems to do a really good job of providing decent streams for most televised sporting events, and they have a very simple interface too.

I followed the Blazers via the net on a host of web sites. I then plugged the laptop into the TV. Sometimes the picture was good and sometimes not. But it was free and I don't have to pay Comcast.

I think it's further than that. SMH.

I'm blacked out in Olympia and I'm 120 Miles from Portland. I've heard as far north as Seattle (180 Miles) but I have no confirmation on that-- only hearsay. I thought about buying an AppleTV (now has League Pass) but discovered Blazer games would be blacked out. I could use a Proxy and whatnot, but that's quite a bit of hassle.
