Former boxing world champion James Toney has confirmed he will fight MMA legend Ken Shamrock on October 1, and he has taken a whole catalogue of new digs at mixed martial arts.

Toney recently made his MMA bow against Randy Couture, getting completely embarrassed by the five-time UFC champion, who scored a first round submission victory.

Now Toney will stand toe-to-toe with Shamrock, in a bout that will be governed by special rules that state the fight can only hit the mat for 30 seconds at a time before being stood up.

Reading this article makes me hope Shamrock destroys James Toney. Talk about a disrespectful piece of shit that can't admit he got his ass beat.

Toney is just trying to get paid which is why he is making these comments. Beating up on the punch drunk Toney isn't going to make anyone look any better at this point in their careers, be that high level heavyweight boxers or mma stars. Shamrock on the other hand, really needs this fight, because he needs money as well. So it's perfect for the both of them.

All that said, depending on the price, I'm intrigued enough to actually travel the 8 hours it takes to get to El-Paso and watch this side show...
