Wow..You got to it before me! I'm so happpyyyy! Claxton is an awsome pickup. We finally get a great PG who is underated, and he's only 27. He's also a great defensive presence. wooooo :beerchug:

Very good signing! There's your PG! He's quick and a pretty good passer. Nice signing.

The Suns only chance at a big signing has gone down the drain. Welcome to Phoenix Lindsey Hunter! :(This is a very good signing. I like Speedy and he will really help the Hawks, unfortunatly.

Wow, GREAT job Atlanta! They need a guy like Speedy so bad. 4 years/$24M is a good deal as well, but what bugs me is that Tim Thomas got the same deal (grrr). Speedy can push the ball, he's quick, a good on-ball defender, and he is a good team player.C: Zaza PachuliaPF: Shelden WilliamsSF: Josh SmithSG: Joe JohnsonPG: Speedy ClaxtonVery very solid starting 5, plus they have Childress, a developing Marvin, and sharpshooting Salim. Plus they could definitely get something for Harrington in a sign-and-trade. I love this move by Atlanta.

How would Suns have signed him anyways? Good signing by Hawks, since it does help Mavs with their James pursuit. Speedy has always been a backup pg imo, I guess we'll see how he handles the starter's duty. But nice contract, not overpaid and should fit well alongside JJ.

They still have over 4 mil from the exception and they saved plenty from trading their draft picks and getting money that they were supposedly going to spend on Tim Thomas. Oh well. Sarver being a cheap ***hole and D'Antoni being inept as a GM doesen't really help.Congrats to the Hawks on a great signing.

As good of a signing the Hawks could have made this offseason. They finally have a reasonable starting lineup.

It still does not mean they won't trade for AI 100% though. Damn I don't want AI to go, but since he will I don't want it to be to a even worse team in ATL. So I really hope it mean no more AI to ATL. lolhaha I remember Speedy Claxton as a Sixer.
