That Jim Miller vs Ben Henderson is top of the contenders barrel fighting. Absolute fireworks, I can't wait to see that one, should be something special. Honestly that has way more relevance than the main event, but whatever the main event could be a good one also.

Torn on this one--the Hardy/Lytle fight is clearly for the fans and should be exciting, although both fighters are coming off losses, but the Miller/Henderson fight is a legitimate title eliminator. Which deserves to be promoted first? I guess so long as the UFC books its own fights, much in the way the NBA books the Christmas Day games, it's up to them which ones go top billing. It's up to the fighters to see who gets title shots.

Jim Miller has to break out of his shell if he wins this fight and DEMAND a title shot. He'd be 10-1 in the UFC with 8-straight wins.

The prelims were great. Hopefully the rest of the show holds up as well.

    Cha-ching!

Somewhat predictably, Chris Lytle earned a double-bonus tonight, taking home fight of the night (with Dan Hardy) as well as submission of the night.

Donald Cerrone claims the knockout of the night bonus.

Disclosed bonuses are $65,000 though I'd wager most of the fighters tonight are going to get a good bump for their efforts.

Seems Lytle also earned himself a new Harley Davidson with the victory.

Lorenzo announced on Twitter that Dan Hardy will not be cut despite losing his fourth straight fight. Understandable?

Ben Henderson has inserted himself into the lightweight title discussion but I think most people would like to see him rematch Anthony Pettis first. Pettis is currently slated to fight Jeremy Stephens which is also a nice fight so Bendo needs something in between. Guida?

Donald Cerrone further established himself as one of the most entertaining and dangerous lightweights. Hopefully they continue to put him in against guys who will fight him. Sam Stout is fighting Dennis Siver in October--the winner of that fight?

Duane Ludwig might've surprised some people by winning a MT fight against Amir Sadollah tonight. Don't know why Sadollah insisted on standing when his submission game is superior. Made for good entertainment.

Speaking of whom, Ludwig/Hardy would be a nice fight. Hardy's competition drops down another peg. Seems he's got a job for life as long as he keeps banging. Shooting on Lytle (after all his BS about wrestling in MMA) and getting submitted was pretty ironic but he did put on a good show.

According to MMA Junkie, Lytle has earned $515,000 in disclosed UFC bonuses alone in his career--and they didn't start giving out official bonuses until recently. Dude is an earner. He gets coffee.
