I just purchased one of those Groupons for BBQ @ Slaptown Ribs on NW Vaughn. http://www.slabtownribsandbbq.com/ I'm hoping the food is good. (BTW, you can sit in the bar in Acapulco's Gold next door, enjoy margi's, and order from the Slabtown menu..) Has anyone been there? If so, does it rate up there with some of the better BBQ joints in Portland? Thanks! PS: Following dinner, we're gonna check out that movie, "Buck", at the Cinema 21 in NW. It's a quasi-documentary produced by Robert Redford and covers the dude that the Horse Whisperer was filmed about. Received rather good reviews.
Podnah's was really good. I went back to Portland a couple of years ago and we stopped by there. It was pretty close to some of the places down here. Make sure you get the Frito Pie.
Newly dating? Never use a coupon when you are newly dating someone. It makes you look like a cheapskate and they won't feel obligated to put out.
They have coupons for that, also. http://www.google.com/search?q=love...s31K4LiiAKKsrUr&ved=0CDEQsAQ&biw=1280&bih=610
They've got my vote. Their brisket is fucking awesome. Podnah's actually made it on one of the Travel Channel shows for some of the best BBQ in the country. I haven't been there yet but have been wanting to go for a long time now.
