I thought these projections were kind of interesting: 21 LaMarcus 45 Wallace 54 Felton 79 Matthews 95 Roy 115 Batum 136 Camby http://sports.espn.go.com/fantasy/basketball/fba/story?page=11postdraftrankings
I really don't get Durant at #1. I guess it really depends on the league but any league with a DD/TD as categories in it i'd rather have James #1 beyond a doubt. Durant is just Points/FT's/5-7 rebounds a game. Heck I may even take Paul/Rose over him.
Thats a pretty decent squad, I remember 2 years ago when Oden played his player rating on ESPN was about 11. So get GO healthy!!!!
Yeah I was surprised how high Felton is ranked, if he is the 54th best player that is better then some teams second best player and would be a welcome production level for us.
Carrying your logic further...With 30 teams, the average team's best player should rank 15.5, its 2nd-best player 45.5, etc. 15.5 45.5 75.5 105.5 135.5 ----------------------------- Blazers...average team...name 21...15.5...LaMarcus 45...45.5...Wallace 54 Felton 79...75.5...Matthews 95 Roy 115...105.5...Batum 136...135.5...Camby We are over .500 because we have some extra talent on top of the average model.
Dallas won the championship with 13...... Dirk 64...... Jason Kidd 87..... Jason Terry 106.... Shawn Marion An average to below average team? Not sure that the fantasy stats have any real world meaning to real life basketball.
Supposedly, there's an association in the fantasy world that begs to differ! No one has ever seen it!
Fantasy is so screwed up compared to actual basketball standards. Were else is Bargnani a third round pick in a twelve person draft? If you pick Howard your giving up on 1 category (FT%) already so that drops his value. Fantasy values have no real value when it comes to actual BB and I hate it when people try and act like it does. I play in quiet a few fantasy leagues and will often see people picking KG/Pierce really high and then get pissed when the guy who picked Monte/Curry just destroys there team.
