So to correct her blunder it should read John Wayne Gacy, the infamous “killer clown” of Chicago, who was convicted of killing more than 30 young men in the 1970s and stashing their bodies in a crawlspace in his house, was from Waterloo. “That’s the kind of spirit I have, too,” Bachmann said. No doubt.
Who cares if John Wayne was from that town or one 100 miles to the south? Or that John Wayne's parents lived in that town? Or that John Wayne Gacy lived there? Really... who gives a shit? Ed O.
George Stephanpolous does. That's who! Why, he wasted public airwaves confronting Bachman on a few verbal errors over the course of her life. I hope she doesn't have a kid with Down's Syndrome. That's fair game to insult against GOP women.
well, SHE gave a shit, or her speech writers did... who cares where people are born? i dont get this i guess, pretty much everyone ever born in some little town will regale all comers with stories of their towns chosen son i just think its funny like this
Nobody. But most people care whether it's a moron that rules them. I think it's appropriate to point out a quote from my sig at this point: Life is tough, it's tougher when you're stupid. - John Wayne
If we're going to get on Obama about mixing up the date on a sign-in sheet & writing on a screen projector, then Bachmann is fair game when it comes to mixing up an acting legend with a criminal serial killing legend.
I don't care if someone misspeaks. John Wayne vs. John Wayne Gacy is meaningless. I do care if someone in the congress and running for president believes in stupid nonsense (e.g. the census is illegal). barfo
http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-503544_162-5095844-503544.html Minnesota Rep. Michele Bachmann told the Washington Times that she and her family will not be fully filling out the 2010 census forms. Bachmann, a Republican, said her family will only be indicating the number of people in the household, because "the Constitution doesn't require any information beyond that." Article I, Section 2, Clause 3 The actual Enumeration shall be made within three Years after the first Meeting of the Congress of the United States, and within every subsequent Term of ten Years, in such Manner as they shall by Law direct.
But Bachman thinks the census is "illegal". :MARIS61: The best part of these threads are the idiotic and ignorant posts that are supposed to "prove" how stupid the target of the thread is. And yes, this also happens in the Obama threads, such as the GM bailout boner by me. None of us are as smart as we like to think we are.
anyone could make the mistake, i could care less who it was, but comparing yourself to john wayne gacy is just....
Excuse me for typing illegal instead of unconstitutional. Illegal was shorter. That's probably true, but in this case I knew what her objection was, and I do think it is incredibly stupid. What difference does it make if the constitution spells it out or not? Does the constitution say that I can't hack into your computer? Does that omission give me the right to hack your computer? There's a law (13 USC 221) that says she has to answer the census questions. It's not in the constitution, it was passed by congress (which, oddly enough, she is a member of). What part of "congress makes laws" does she not understand? barfo
Rape isn't solely a federal crime. Its jurisdiction falls to the states, like other things not mentioned in the constitution are supposed to be, although there are federal statues on rape, as enacted by congress.
what if i rape him in international waters? or rape him as i cross a state line? ooh what if i rape him by mail? i could send him a load of semen loaded into a triggered compressed air cartridge and when he opens it...bukkake!
