    I've actually been in Mexico and Canada for the 4th.

    Canadiens seem more bitter about it, Mexicans don't give a shit. Canadians love to pretend they are smug about amurrica.

    ...I went to Vancouver BC a decade ago for the 4th of July weekend and it so happened to be the very same weekend they had extended bar hours to 4am. Needless to say, everyone was having a good time just like any other weekend...July 4th was no big deal to anyone that I encountered.
