A former Texas Tech assistant coach who resigned abruptly after one season has pleaded guilty to domestic assault. Lubbock County Court deputy clerk Sandra Hubbard said Thursday that James Willis received six months' deferred adjudication on Wednesday that requires him to complete 30 hours of community service and undergo anger management counseling.
