No season will happen. On the plus side, it will be the first season Oden will have played in every single game the Blazers have.
That is what I meant, there will be no loss of games. I think the main reason will be the NFL, it would actually be a PR victory for the NBA to reach an agreement before the NFL. That said, I wouldn't like to see a shortened schedule as part of the new CBA. Maybe cutting as many as 15-20 games from the schedule, as a way to justify lowering salaries. They could also spread out the games more, hence making them worth more in terms of ticket price. While less games might see like less TV revenue, they could simply show more games during the week.
