...to butter up Oden? A former teammate, they're friends...Who knows? Just a thought.

I don't believe they were ever teammates. Diebler came on a year after GO left OSU.

They weren't teammates. Diebler Fever said in his live chat today that Greg's one year at Ohio State was his senior year in high school. However, he said he did know him from Greg's summers spent there.

I suppose it's possible...they did the same with McBob.

If they wanted to butter Oden up they should have given him wheel-barrows full of cash. Drafting a white guy from his alma mater 51st doesn't really wash for me.

I'd like to see Diebler try a running P&R with Aldridge and throw a pinpoint pass on the move to the rim above a 7 footer. heh. Either he'd trip over himself trying to dribble the ball, or get the shit swatted out of him by a defender.

I'd like to see Rudy hit a wide open 3-pointer.

Or hit ANYTHING for that matter, other than the bench after a worthless stint on the floor. Loved that video of Roy's 18 4th quarter points in game 4 - Roy makes a great pass to Rudy for the wide open.......brick.

kid is an amazing shooter, but was there anyone else left that you'd have rather taken instead of diebler? like say isiah thomas? Could end up like nate robinson, but with a more of a pg mindset, which is decent value especially at the 51st pick.

Diebler is good. It seamed when ever Ohio State played Michigan State, Diebler couldn't miss.

Diebler wasn't even the best player available from his own team, IMO. I think it's a crying shame that David Lighty didn't get drafted.

Rudy played his way out of Portland. Time to give someone a new chance to make their mark in the league. Good for Diebler and Williams.
