From todays ESPN insider. He lists teams Dwight is interested in.

    Nets, Knicks, Mavericks and Lakers

Not interested in: Bulls and Celtics and Thunder

However remember how right Bucher was about Kobe coming to the Bulls?

Bucher said all those free agents wouldn't go to Miami, because they had to take a paycut.

He's an idiot................. That said there's no reason for Orlando to do anything until the CBA is figured out. I think LA has the pieces to get him, not the other clubs as much.

The rumor is about teams Dwight is interested in; not teams that have the best chance of landing Howard, so I don't see any issues with his statements. And seriously, who thought the big three would be willing to take pay cuts? I certainly didn't. I can't think of that ever happening before when franchise level stars are concerned.

The article makes sense to me. I'll be Howard wants both a franchise that will coddle him and give him a chance to win. Chicago ain't that.

Chicago doesn't give him a chance to win?

How much coddling does a 6-11 monster need? Thibodeau is a great big man coach. He's got a history with Yao, and working on one with Noah.

But I'm up for that party, Rosenthall!

The list seems reasonable to me as well, except maybe the teams he's not interested in. Chicago is still an ok place to play in. I simply said he's an idiot. Idiots don't have to think when they regurgitate what they hear.

Athletes in all sports may take paycuts, Bucher lives in a simpler world. I could easily see myself taking a pay cut even if I were a superstar. Only winning matters to me, probably because I dislike the critics so much.

Stan Van Gundy literally thanks Dwight Howard in his press conference at the end of almost every game. I think that's strange. Dwight also gets a say in Orlando trade talks. You have to imagine there is a lot of the same stuff going on in Orlando with Howard that Lebron saw in Cleveland and both LJ and Wade see in Miami. Kobe's commitment to winning runs deeper than the other A-listers. He doesn't need anyone to hold his hand. I think Dwight Howard still does. I'm just saying: I don't think the Bulls land Howard for reasons that have nothing to do with basketball, and I think the report makes sense.

Prime Kobe did exactly the same thing, through the Shaq era until 2008.

I mean, hand-holding is ok and understandable. But in the end, you want someone holding your hand who's going to help you accomplish your goals, not just make you feel good. PJ is a good one at that, but I think Thibs is pretty adept at that, as well, especially for a first year head coach. He's got some learnin to do, yeah, but I think I agree with Sam Smith that these guys actually do want to learn and get better.

Anyway, it doesn't matter, and I'm certainly not counting on the bulls getting D Howard, and I'm certainly not going to bash the Bulls for not getting him because "we don't understand how to treat stars".

I do hope the games begin...
