WBA Super World light welterweight champion Amir Khan is continuing with his talk of fighting Floyd Mayweather Jr. next year in 2012. Khan has been talking nonstop about his desire to fight Mayweather Jr. next year, and sees the fight as proof that he’s arrived as a fighter and one of the best in the entire world. Khan wants the fight in the UK rather than the United States, and thinks it will sell out Wembley stadium. Khan also said he plans on retiring in four more years when he turns 28. It sounds very much like David Haye and his wish to get out of the sport at 31. It’s going to be interesting to see if Khan will follow through with his retirement talk and if he’s going to end up disgraced in the near future like Haye was.
