Ten Thousand Fists is their best album. Most meaningful, it's almost a hybrid of Sickness and Believe. More melodic and lots of animalistic growling from Draiman. Good guitar solos from Donegan, he really stepped up. Not as good drumming as Sickness however, but it is the best album nontheless.
Are there any other Blazes around here? Chances are they like Disturbed...Anyway, I agree. The Sickness feels like it's just immature for lack of a better word when compared to Ten Thousand Fists. Believe was good but very melodic and not really as metal as The Sickness. Ten Thousand Fists contains the best elements of both, as well as some new sounds like you said with the solos and such, it's definitely my favorite album so far. I feel like Believe had a lot of filler, I really only like Prayer and Remember, although they are both amazing songs, the rest aren't even close. I found The Sickness too basic for my taste, there's really no songs on it that I love, but there are about 4 or so which are great, just nothing amazing.
The only song I love on Sickness is Down with the Sickness, because it sounds cool and it's going to be my opening theme song. :boxin: Believe had good lyrics and nice singing, but it wasn't Disturbed. I think it should be regarded more as almost a full-feature "side-project" album, as it was only made for and dedicated to Draiman's Jewish godfather. btw, look at this.Jewish star, cross, and Muslim's crescent all in a symbol. his grandfather was religous, so he dedicated the album to him.
Yeah that's an interesting logo, but I agree it isn't like their other two CDs.I really never liked Down with the Sickness all that much, I like Voices and Shout best off of The Sickness. Interestingly enough, The Sickness remains their best selling album to date. The only thing that sucks about Disturbed is that it takes them 3 years to put out a CD, although I suppose it takes time to create good music, rappers have no trouble putting out a CD every year. I guess it's kind of a good thing in that they care about their music and they take the time to create something great rather then just churning out albums to fatten their wallets.
Yep. Linkin Park hasn't made an album in 3 years either, but they're going to drop their newest later this summer, can't wait for that.Anyways, Disturbed's members have great experiances with life. It helps listeners learn the truth about the world, for some of the dumbasses who are blinded.
It's easy to write them off as another satanist metal band based on their name and the way they look, and their CD covers and stuff, but they're really more mature then that and they are great musicians. Linkin Park is good too, but I like Disturbed more because they're harder. I actually liked Reanimation best of all the Linkin Park CDs, it was very unique and a good album IMHO.
If peoplelisten to Believe, it's hard to see how they can think of Disturbed as satanistic. They are not religous, but they know their stuff and just want the best out of life. It's proven in their lyrics.LP used to be my favorite band before I discovered Disturbed.
They were my favorite band before I got back into Rage Against the Machine, who were my favorite band for a year or so until Ten Thousand Fists dropped and renewed my interest in Disturbed.
Rage Against the Machine is awesome. Too bad the vocalist left. Evil Empire and Battle of Los Angeles were their best albums. the vocalist looked like Bob Marley. Anyways their have been many Rage "wannabes" the D-Generation X band copied Rage's style and reveille tried also. Guerilla Radio, Sleep Now in the Fire, Renegades of Funk, People of the Sun and Born of a Broken Man are my fav. songs by them.
Yeah, went Zach de la Rocha left the band collapsed, without him they just don't have the same energy or style they once had. Audioslave make me want to throw up, it's a disgrace to what used to be an amazing band. Chris Cornell is such a faggot, and Tom Morello admitted that he changes his riffs once the new band formed to try and distance themselves from Rage, the result is a joke. Audioslave will never reach the popularity RATM once had. The lyrics are just stupid, they don't have that hip hop side them anymore, they don't have the energy that Zach brought, they just sound so pussy now, I can't take Cornell seriously. It just makes me angry, it sucks to see them fall apart like that. RATM had so many good songs, I can name 20 off the top of my head that I love, and so far I like one Audioslave song, it's not even that great and Cornell stills manages to ruin it.
I don't like Audioslave at all, any unique band is a joke without their vocalist. Imagine Disturbed with a different vocalist...Drowning Pool without their 1st vocalist (vocalist died, never sounded the same)Linkin Park without Chester or Mike...Metallica without James...And Rage without Zach..Those bands had(have) unique styles and if(since) their lead vocalists left they're not the same band, no matter what.
Well, if the music had stayed the same then it would have been one thing, but they took that in another direction also. They also could have replaced Zach with another vocalist with a hip hop background, that might have kept them sounding somewhat similar, but at the same time it wouldn't feel right. Zach had a very unique style and I honestly can't compare anyone to him, that rap/rock hybrid as well as his political idealogy made RATM what it was, and Audioslave just doesn't have any of te same characteristics that made Rage so great.
Rage was bad ass. Crazy lyrics, fast-paced and exciting and electrifying almost but at the same time smart and lyrical. I loved RATM man.
Me too, it's such a shame that they will never put out music again. Their political views really were a huge part of getting them where they got, and that's another thing Audioslave lacks. They just seem so phoney and shallow compared to the high-energy idealistic RATM.
Linkin Park really doesn't fit any labels, they're just a hybrid of everything. The problem with most nu-metal bands is that they're not really metal, but Disturbed is very hard and metal while and the same time still melodic, which is what's great about them. That's what I said in the other thread until the Nazis locked it.
I just realized something... Disturbed better not f*cking break up...like a f*cking pussy guy and a bi*ch girl.. but they're not like that
Yeah that would suck so bad, they always seemed really happy as a group though, I mean I don't really know but from what I've observed I haven't see anything to lead me to believe that they would.
