When this week’s Friday Night Fights main event was announced months ago, hardcore fight fans everywhere began to salivate at the promise of a fight of the year candidate. Both Pawel Wolak and Delvin Rodriguez have delivered in the ring in the past and both always put on an action-packed show. This fight was no exception. The two battled to a majority draw as one judge scored the bout 97-93 for Rodriguez, while the other two had it 95-95. The true winners of the fight however were the fans. Do all boxers need to be all-action reckless warriors? No. Should there be more fights like tonight and less like Pacquiao-Mosley or Mayweather-De La Hoya? Yes!
