Fantastic game to watch: Paxon. Thompson. Natt. Valentine. Cooper. Lever. A rookie Drexler. Jack Ramsay.

On the other side: Kareem. Magic. Worthy. Wilkes. McAdoo. A young Pat Riley.

Awesome how the game is different than today's game. No "pump up the crowd" music during every offensive possesion. No canned "defense" chants. The lights on the crowd are turned off in the Memorial Coliseum to focus the attention on the game. Almost no one shoots a 3 pointer, yet the game is such a fast pace that the final score is Blazers 141, Lakers 121.

Only bad thing is you have to suffer through the Laker announcers. Guess they couldn't find Schonley's call of the game.

The game is scheduled to reply several times, so make sure to catch it if you can.

Magic didn't play, and actually I liked listening to Chick Hearn.

Now that you mention it, Magic DIDN'T play. Was he injured?

Him and Valentine were VASTLY underrated point guards. Can you imagine those guys in the current Blazer team? Yeah I know, different eras different games, but the quickness and excellent passing almost every possesion is just mezmerizing.

Jesus Kareem was good. Wayne Cooper was about at his best at this point in his career, and Kareem is just schooling him with the skyhook.

Didn't catch that one, but I like watching those early 80 Blazer teams. The pace was frenetic compared to today's game.

I did catch the 86 Celtics vs Knicks game. Hubie Brown manning the sidelines. Walton getting elevation and playing fundamental post defense. McHale unencumbered and looking young. Pace was blitzkrieg on both sides. So much more enjoyable to watch than today's game.

I watched that game yesterday morning, couldn't believe how well coached they were. There wasn't any scoring droughts of 3 or more minutes, and guys actually hit threes and played some defense!
