New York Mets right fielder Carlos Beltran missed Saturday's game with the flu, and will likely miss Sunday's game as well, according to manager Terry Collins. "I don't know," Collins replied when asked if he thought Beltran could play Sunday, when the Mets finish up a three-game series with the Philadelphia Phillies at Citi Field. "I would probably err on the side of him not playing. He didn't show up (Saturday), so he's probably pretty sick. I'm concerned about weakness, but we'll see when he gets here how he feels. He might need an IV to make sure his fluids are up, so we'll wait until (Sunday)." Beltran began developing a high fever Friday night, and was nearly pulled from the series opener against Philadelphia. He hit a 420-foot home run, his 14th of the season, in the Mets' 7-2 loss, but apparently didn't feel well enough to make it to the ballpark on Saturday afternoon, when he was supposed to be looked at by a team doctor or trainer Ray Ramirez.
