another huge positive is that everyone is reported to be injury free and tuning themselves up physically for the fall.

I thought the ~ESPN is a Univ. of Texas booster~ info following the article in the comments section was very interesting. If what that person alleges is true, I wonder how much exactly the HS takes home for having one of their games broadcast by ESPN and how that money is utilized. I would imagine that 25G would be small potatoes in comparison. Last year UT signed 21 kids from in state

I'm just coming across this, but here is the article the guy is referring to... http://www.iamthe12thman.com/2011/7/15/2278344/espn-will-act-as-texas-version-of-will-lyles

I said from the beginning that Texas was behind all of this, and Wheels read my comments in an ESPN article from months ago where I explained exactly why both ESPN and Texas need Texas football to succeed. Does anyone really think that it's a coincidence that LSU and Oregon are the poster programs for "illegal" use of recruiting services? This entire thing started because Lache Seastunk's HS coach was unable to steer him to Texas because of Lache's summer work with Willie Lyles. Lache's HS ended up getting fired, and lost his UT gravy train of coaching clinics, and I'll go far to allege under the table payments from Texas boosters, because he was useless to Texas at that point.

You know, it's one of those things where we almost don't want to know about all the corruption in college football because I think it would really ruin how we look at the game. I suspect if the full truth came out, many of the top programs like Texas would be found guilty of countless infractions. Of course, the NCAA and ESPN will go to great lengths to prevent something like that from happening.
