After experimenting, "Remember Me" is there only when I'm logged off, not on. So you didn't make it appear. I was logged on when I said it wasn't there and it had logged me off when I said it was there.
If you don't click the remember me check box, it should set a cookie in your browser that lasts until you close the browser. However, anti-virus software might come along and see you haven't loaded a page in, say, 15 minutes and delete the cookie on you. If you do click the remember me check box, it should set a cookie in your browser that lasts for a long time (months). So every time you boot your computer and open your browser and go to sportstwo.com, you're still logged in. The vBulletin search function isn't the greatest. A lot of sites turn off the search altogether and put up a google search box instead. http://www.google.com/webhp?sourcei...w.&fp=68b2c9f6e06f422c&ion=1&biw=1024&bih=721 For example, works, and finds 6 results with "jlprk" and "year" and if you clock on the "show omitted results" link at the bottom, it shows "About 40,500 results (0.66 seconds) "
I found the post I wanted (with a link I wanted to a 3-year old article) and just posted it to the OT board. I looked up "3-year" and "three-year." I knew it was one or the other, but had hoped to simplify the search by just looking for "year" since I didn't remember whether I had used the numeral or the word, or whether I had included the hyphen. (That's a search of 4 permutations. So I was just trying "year.") I succeeded also because I didn't specify my own screen name, which never seems to work. You say if I click Remember Me, I am logged in for months? So the FBI can see my bank reconciliation on the spreadsheet? I'll have to stop getting my fatwahs from Abdul in Qatar.
Every site (hostname, e.g. sportstwo.com) has its own cookies, so logging in here permanently doesn't affect any other sites you log in to. Your bank site most certainly won't have a remember me checkbox and would make you log in often.
It's just a spreadsheet I keep of my money, not a bank site. It appears that someone crazy has been posting under my name. I don't remember writing any of those posts.
Would have been a great trade for Portland if it had happened. Thorn is the Devil when it comes to deals though. They always seem to break down at the last minute for whatever reason
that writing is on the wall regardless of other roster moves... likely the team was aware of this last offseason when they targeted Wesley. They probably use the expected amnesty/waiver on him, but regardless what sort of minutes/role can be expected of him in his state? the trade had Wesley (& Camby) going to Phili. Had it gone through, Iguadala would have mainly been competing with Batum & Gerald for the wing minutes with GW picking up a good chunk of his time at PF. No Camby would leave the frontcourt thin as Greg isn't supposed to be back until December or so, but that wing D would be pretty much lockdown STOMP
FWIW, Wesley compares very favorably to Iggy, considering he has only been in the league for two years.
In the proposed trade Matthews minutes with the Blazers would be reduced to 0 since he would be on Philly. If we got Iggy he would have plenty of minutes on this team, just as Gerald had plenty last year even for the few games he backed up Batum. Iggy would be our 3rd best player, the coach is easily going to find ways to keep him on the floor.
Our lineup until Oden came back could be Felton/Iggy/Batum/Crash/LMA. That's a hounding-D, run-till-you-drop monster. You could bring in Roy and a couple of shooters (Nolan? Babbitt? ) to give the other guys some rest, but you'd need one or two backup bigs to not kill LMA and Wallace. And I don't mean Pendergraph.
Again I like his game. And I don't care if he plays the 2 or the 3 as long as you have two other guys in there with him that can shoot. I am all for going small like someone suggested with LMA, Wallace, Batum, Iggy, and Felton. I just see a few issues on offense in a half court set (Playoffs) with him in the game with a true center and Wallace at the 3. Personally I like as many shooters on the floor as possible. I like small ball. That is why I would prefer him at the 3.
I love defense and a lineup with Oden (when back), Aldridge, Wallace and Iguodala would be spectacular. It would also be extremely talented, with Batum making a very nice sixth man. While neither Iguodala nor Felton would ever be confused with a dead-eye shooter, neither is terrible at it. They shouldn't be taking a ton of threes per game, because it wouldn't be efficient if defended, but they're good enough shooters that if they're left totally alone (due to double teams inside) they can definitely make defenses pay. So I wouldn't worry overly much about the perimeter shooting.
On the surface, it might seem you'd be 3pt challenged. BUT both Wallace and Iggy are better 3pt shooters than their % suggests. There both streaky and can put in a few in a row, and playing on crappy teams, guys tend to chuck a few more than they ultimately should. In fact, Wallace is the SF/PF version of Iggy in a lot of ways, including the handles.
I don't think he compares favorably to him. Matthews is a superior three point shooter, but that's it. Iguodala is bigger (longer) and a much better ballhandler. He's also a better defender. Andre is older, but less so than he seems (less than three years). Wes is a good player, and I'm glad he's a Blazer, but he will probably never be the player that Iguodala is now. Ed O.
Philly is paying $12.5 million for a 17.3 PER "franchise player" who still has three more years on that deal. I'd be trying to get rid of him as well, especially if there is a tighter or lower cap if a new CBA is ever agreed upon. An amnesty clause that actually creates cap space and tax relief is the one this deal would get done if it were up to me.
Well we won't be able to acquire him until we know the details of the next CBA. If there is a hard cap then its possible Wes is more valuable to the team. If there isn't a hard cap or it doesn't take full effect until after Iggy's deal, then I'm all for a little bit of SPAM.
I'm also thinking that an above-average offensive player who is a potential DPoY every year and has Olympic-level talent is a plus in our backcourt.
No one claims Iguodala is a franchise player nor is $12.5 million franchise-player money (at least in the most recent NBA economic climate). He's a productive offensive player who's also a stellar defensive player. His cost in money seems reasonable unless contract values in general plunge with the next CBA. Even if they do, I'd be happy to have the Blazers overpay for him, if they can get him in a talent-unequal swap, so long as there isn't a true hard cap.
