Why?!? I can understand him wanting to still coach but the Wolves organization is a giant cluster f'k. He should just stay home and wait for a coach to get fired mid season.

I'd rather have Adelman than McMillan. Adelman is a little better coach, but more than that he seems more flexible. He adapts his philosophy to suit the team. Nate adapts the team to suit his philosophy.

We've got possibly the fastest guy over 6'10 in the entire NBA and we've never, ever seen how he can play in a moderate-tempo (let alone up-tempo) style. It's been 5 seasons now--how many more do we have to wait before we can see?

I respect Nate as a coach but I would LOVE to have Adelman back. You're right, Adelman is fantastic at adjusting his offense to get the most out of his players while Nate seems to try and make players adapt to his rigid style.

They could be a problem in the near future. Kevin Love with a structured offense rather than the triangle would be interesting.

    Rubio
    Johnson
    Love
    Williams
    Randolph

If I were Adelman I'd be excited for the chance to work with this young core.

Especially for a guy like Adelman who likes to do a lot of creative stuff on offense. After seeing what he did with Webber/Divac, Artest in Sac and Hou, Scola, etc. he'd probably have a lot of fun with Love, Randolph, and Williams.

That said the whole aspect of David Kahn making your roster decisions is a pretty big turn off.

I guess... maybe... if at this point in his career he's actually interested in a bunch of young players who have no chance of making the playoffs for at least the next two seasons.

But working for the owner and GM of the Wolves?!?

For years, we've been searching for the right players to fit McMillan's system. The GM's job would be much easier with Adelman as coach. He can win with anyone, maybe even the current Minnesota roster.

Would be so much fun to watch. Love has to be one of the best passing big men in the NBA. Adelman might even be able to get Love to play defense.

Kahn already interviewed the first 2, and will interview the last 3 soon.

    Terry Porter
    Mike Woodson
    Don Nelson
    Bernie Bickerstaff
    Rick Adelman

3 of 5 have Blazer connections. Why isn't this thread also about Porter and Bickerstaff?

If Bernie gets hired and does well, I'll be saying, we kept McMillan and lost Bickerstaff ????

What are we, the league feeder system for coaches? Rick Carlisle, Monty Williams, and now this.

Khan has to many love memories of the 77 team. He wants to recreate them so he is slowly trying to take everything related to the Blazers he can get. Hey Khan how about Roy for Love/Williams/Johnson :)
