Shouldn't that index be "the most difficult team for BAND WAGON fans to root for"?

the only ting I hate more than Laker fans (and their players) is front runner fans.

Yeah yeah yeah, I know I'm being redundant there.

Of their 'bottom ten', the Blazers and the Wizards are the only one who can claim a title in the last 35 years.

that thing, btw, is on par with a bleacher report. Some moron came up with some kind of neat math equation that shows the Lakers are easy to root for.

    No fucking shit, Einstein.

The whole methodology is out of a Laker fan's imagination. Sorry, but a team's reputation reaches back much more than 10 years. And each year, some great elite teams don't win a title.

For me, the hardest team to root for would be the Lakers. All of that vomiting on myself in disgust just from watching the guys in purple and piss would be tough to bear.

That formula he uses is a bunch of crap.

    Look at the middle 10.

If it is so easy being a Minnesota fan, why did they have to slash ticket prices by 50%?

If it is so easy being a Memphis, Indiana, New Orleans, 76er, or Bobcat fan, why do they rarely sell out?

The Cavs and Nets are among the easiest 10? Not buying that at all.

Hard to root for, but it will make the next title that much more sweet!

^ Maybe it WOULD be easier to be a fan of a team that has a history of sucking for the past 40 years!

I've been a Saints fan since I was real little, because I thought Pat Swilling was a beast and I thought they were short on fans. When they won it made it that much more gratifying.

All I know is before I pass I wanna be able to streak down Broadway atleast once.

That forumla is booty. So we haven't had too much success the past 10 years, but we've made it to two Finals and five Conference Finals since 1990, and I know that's something the likes of the Nuggets, Warriors, Raptors, Wizards, 76ers, Wolves?!?, Pacers, Hornets, Bobcats, Grizzlies and Nets can say about themselves. Seriously though, the freaking Timberwolves, a team we have destroyed over 20 times in a row is supposed to be easier to root for than the Blazers?

Well, the Nets did make it to two NBA finals, and the 76ers and Pacers each made it once.

True, but the Nets were a walkover before those appearances in the Finals and after as well, the same can be said for the Sixers. The Pacers have a legit argument because they were deep in the East during Reggie's days and even were dominant before the Palace brawl.

I think what makes the Blazers difficult to root for are the expectations. We have high expectations for our high character, high talent team. That's what makes people upset, when their expectations are not being met. It seems were always on the brink of crushing teams, only to let them back into it. The reason why the Blazers are so hard to root for is because the potential is there, but their not living up to it! Makes you want to quit being a fan sometimes, when you tie your emotions to the team's success.

Prime Example is how many people have given up on G.O. because all their expectations for him, (that we made up) were broken, no pun intended

I have no difficulty rooting for the Blazers. I don't get the concept. Unless the concept is aimed only at front-runner fair-weather fans who only root for successful teams to be successful. And even then, the Blazers have been consistently one of the more successful teams in the league over the past 30 year period. It was easy to get excited and root for this team when we had healthy Roy and Aldridge, young Rudy and Batum, and visions of Oden dancing in our heads. The Blazers haven't won a championship in a very long time, but I'm rooting for them to do so. I have no reason whatsoever to root for any other team.

I don't really get that article. I've never had trouble rooting for the Blazers. :)

Portland 100% needs another major sport in there city. It's almost creepy how much fans stalk the players there. (And NO soccer does not count) Other then that not much diffrent then any other city. Some crazy fans. Alot of normal ones. *Deleted*

I would love baseball in Portland. I don't think the NFL could survive. We seem like a college football state, but baseball? Heck yes. We have nothing going on in the summer months and there are fans out there. Just make affordable tickets and I think we'd support that team.
