I sure hope they pick a later time slot for the show like after 10 pm. Heh. http://www.pjstar.com/entertainment/x920807614/Beavis-and-Butthead-set-to-return-to-MTV-in-fall Heres the original fire coverage of the 2year old girl dying because of fire: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X-TFcZnNfeU Parents need to watch their kids on what they watch.
New clip. Watch out, violence and some blood! Dang it. I forgot to put it in the OT section. ugh!
I hate shit like that. If you can't or won't stop your five year old from watching Beavis and Butthead and having access to things that can cause a fatal fire, you probably shouldn't have kids. I was between 9 and 14 when the show was on and I wasn't allowed to watch it. I did when my parents weren't around or went to sleep, but I knew that their prohibition meant something was wrong with it and I shouldn't behave that way. That said, 7 pm seems a bit early for Beavis and Butthead to be on.
I was watching the Sprout "goodnight show" with my 1 year old yesterday. She can't talk or walk, but when Nina said that it was time to stretch, she looked at me and put her hands up like she was being held at gunpoint. Then, when Nina asked if she wanted to watch a bedtime story, my little girl looked at me and said "toot, toot". I didn't get it until 10 seconds later when Thomas the Train came on to tell the story. Yeah, kids pick this stuff up early. But no, I wouldn't let her watch B&B just b/c it was a cartoon. (Random tangent: hearing George Carlin narrate kids' shows makes me laugh. I keep waiting for him to drop a "so Thomas got his train back on the motherfuc*ing tracks, said 'Get out of my way, b!tch!' and tooted his horn like a c*ck because he knew his s#it didn't stink")
I was about seven when beavis and butthead was big. Whenever my parents went to sleep, I would just creep downstairs and record it on a vhs tape so I could watch it in my room later. My parents eventually caved in and realized I was going to watch it anyway I could, but I always knew that they were doing stuff actual people shouldn't. I'm really excited it's coming back on and can't wait to see what Mike Judge has now. I always disliked King of the Hill and wondered why he didn't try to bring back Beavis and Butthead. The movie made 5 times what it cost, the series obviously could make money.
You can never go back home. As much as I loved B&B, I'm dreading its return. I don't see how it can live up to expectations.
"This is a family tree, if your family was made of whores." "If they made this chart long enough we would know where herpes began."
I loved this show when i was like 5, hopefully it doesn't completely suck like the Ren and Stimpy revamp did.
This is exactly what I was thinking. I was excited about Ren & Stimpy returning and it wasn't anywhere near as brilliant. Most likely, the new Beavis & Butthead will be equally disappointing.
