90 pairs over... what.... six or seven years? Doable. Expensive but doable. That's probably at least 9 or 10k worth of shoes, unless some were gifts. Even at their cheapest, Air Jordans were in the low 100s.

You get free product when your school is sponsored by Nike. And it's not illegal either.

You don't get 90 pairs of Air Jordans free from Nike if you go to a Nike school. You get free equipment related to your sport, and that's it.

If this is your grasp on NCAA rules, it's no wonder you make such idiotic posts on this board.

If you are a student athlete at a school sponsored by Nike, you cannot even shop at the Nike employee store as a guest.

With that said, I don't think it's a big deal. He's been collecting for years.

Players get a crap load of stuff when they go to basketball tournaments or bowl games.

They also get a stipend each month (with it being less if they stay on campus, and more if they go off campus to cover living expenses) and can usually eat everything they want on campus. I don't see it being hard for a guy to acquire 90 pairs of Jordans over the years. A lot of guys his age spend the money they get on sneakers.

Of course I didn't say he got 90 free pairs of Jordans. I'm sure he inflated that number and included other Nike's like trainers which can be considered relevant to the sport of football.

while I dont think that the 90 or so Air Jordan's would is a deal at all.. but I find the bolded rather amusing, when you talk about Duck fans not getting it, and basically just believing what they want to believe.

Bottom line is, papag is stretching this for no reason. While I know some stuff is said about the Ducks quite often from Beaver fans lately (regarding the Lyles info), this is quite the reach from papag.

Players get stipends. Kids spend money. Kids like Jordans.

    OMFG he must be stealinz.

I tend to agree... I can see someone getting a collection that large over that amount of time if that really is a hobby of his or hers. But that last part in Tlong's post was amusing with the garbage he has spouted off in here the last few weeks. Especially when taking into account his comments on the Cliff Harris thing, which he has just as much knowledge about as you, or I or PapaG have on the AirJordan's

What the hell are you talking about? You don't get ONE free pair of Air Jordans for personal use, let alone 90 pairs.

He could have gotten a brand new car and some gear instead of 90 Jordans.

Waste of money, and they're overpriced.

lol @ how you avoid the stuff where you are called out I.e. how you talk like you are "sure that he inflated the number" yet you laugh at Duck fans for not being curious how something was attained. You avoid when you are called out just like Mixum did.
