Undefeated rising junior welterweight stars Frankie Gomez of East Los Angeles, Calif. and Chicago’s Adrian “EL Tigre” Granados will clash in the eight round main event on Friday, August 26 at “Sólo Boxeo Tecate”: Windy City Fight Night 18 at Chicago’s UIC Pavilion. Just 19 years old, the heavy-handed Gomez has impressively won his first ten bouts, eight by knockout, since turning professional in April 2010. Fighting since the age of eight, Gomez tore through the amateurs, winning a National championship in 2009 and a Silver medal in that year’s world championships. In 2010, he began his professional journey and has continued to dazzle fight fans with his power, speed and aggression.
