After acquiring defensive tackle/tub of goo Albert Haynesworth earlier in the day, the New England Patriots have now pulled the trigger on a deal that nets them former Cincinnati Bengals star wide receiver Chad Ochocinco. Only problem: 85 is taken by Aaron Hernandez How much leverage does Hernandez have negotiating how much it will cost to give Chad his number? I hope he doesn't give up the number.
lol, nice, i bet it was a condition of his contract though, and unless i am mistaken, the team has the rights to the numbers, and can change them if they feel like it...im sure he will get a rolex out of the deal or something though
I'm sure they'll work it out. But aside from that, I love how the Pats operate. They get a proven vet just about at the end for a couple of nominal picks. They just know how to build a team to win for the moment. Clearly the class of the league. NBA teams should take note how Kraft does it.
And my Skins operate exactly the opposite way. Fuck, Dan Snyder is going to be the death of me. What a clusterfuck my Skins are.
Yep, he takes on aging vets but with new and huge salaries. The Skins have been very disappointing the last many years.
Funny related story: Donovan McNabb, as you know, will be playing quarterback for the Minnesota Vikings in 2011. Also, as you probably know, McNabb has been wearing the number five his whole career. What you might not know, unless you really love punting, is that Vikings punter Chris Kluwe already wears number five for the Minnesota Vikings. Is there a deal to be worked out that would get McNabb the No. 5? There is! As it happens, Chris Kluwe is a prolific tweeter, and posted this upon the news of McNabb heading north. http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/blog/sh...-5-he-8217-ll-be-promoting-a-p?urn=nfl-wp4056
