Claiming one is Muslim & committing a violent act in the name of Islam are two things.

He was trying to preserve Christian values/customs, to the point of saying that you don't even have to believe in God, we just need to keep all the holidays the Christians stole from pagan customs.

He's a nut who thought the liberal agenda would allow Muslims to take away Christmas.

When did I implicate FOX News as being responsible? I was just pointing out that those terrible rags in the UK are owned by the same guy who owns a ton of media in the US as well. I am just not sure if you think that corruption of the media can only happen in the UK or that one can't be suspicious of other media entities owned by the same guy who let the NOTW run loose.

Murdoch employees in Britain say there was a company atmosphere of tapping phones and bribing officials and police. These practices were taught to new employees through changes in leadership (editors). This indicates that the source was above the editors. It was at the ownership level.

While this doesn't prove that the practices would transfer to American companies owned by the same owner, it makes it probable. If you own a widget factory in Britain and another in the U.S., you will probably institute similar industry methods.

The three people other than the Dirty Digger are son James, NOTW editor Brooks, and the guy sitting next to Rupert is Les Hinton. Les and Murdoch have been in business together for over 50 years, he has been the head of Fox television and the American newspaper division during the time of the phone hacking. He resigned from his post in mid July, which was right in the midst of the firestorm building in England.
