The New York Islanders sent out a press release Tuesday night saying that they had re-signed forward Jon Sim. The only problem was that the signing happened last summer. On Wednesday, the Islanders said that their AHL affiliate, the Bridgeport Sound Tigers, had experienced an email glitch and had mistakenly sent out the press release.
