Went to go to work this morning only to find my car missing. The good news is, it was found two hours after I had reported the incident. The car itself was undamaged, but it was cleaned out of all loose goodies, electronics, etc., including my bluetooth-compatible stereo.

So, I'm now thinking of going with a standard bluetooth earpiece, but know virtually nothing about them. I'll be looking for one that has decent background noise suppression (twin mics?), relatively good sound quality, and the ability to voice-activate dial. Oh, and at a reasonable price.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks!

Not so fast, my friend. It was returned to me this morning.

Yes, there is a God! :)

Everyone's wondering, should I play this thread from a crimehater angle or from a tech nerd angle.

I know nothing. If God had meant for us to use headphones, we'd have coathooks where our ears are. It would drive the dry cleaners out of business. I do know a lot about blue teeth, though.

Your probably covered under your insurance for the items stolen from the car. If you have a nice adjuster, they will throw money in for the detail cleaning too.

    '92 Accord LX. 340k miles.

Apparently, the car was rolled from my house straight down a couple of blocks to an apartment complex parking lot, then gutted from there. The apartment manager called the cops mid-morning and reported seeing two young ladies leaving the car. Naturally, the speculation is meth-heads. They even stole the metal railing system for the ashtray! I can only think they sell the metal, to boot. Oh, well....

Don't be so modest. Those two hotties were just looking for your phone number.

    :)

Actually, my business cards and a business badge (with my photo on it) were in plain view on the console.

I have a feeling they simply responded with, "Meh(th)." ;)

Damn you're lucky. The rest of us get our cars stolen by bewhiskered thugs in striped shirts with a bandana over their mouths. You not only get one hotty, you get TWO. Some guys have all the luck.

No, they were looking for ABM. Look, I know how this guy rolls. So, disappointed he wasn't there to molest, they stripped the car- otherwise they would have stripped him.

    Yes he does.

And trust me, they know where he lives. They'll be back for more. Only this time it'll be personal.

I'm going to start leaving my car unlocked, but I'll be disappointed if it's stolen by fewer than three hotties.
