Remember draft night when we ended up trading for Mr. Hefty? Remember how the two Mikes were saying that the rumor was that we were trading for Rajon Rondo? Did they ever explain where they got that from? Was it an actual floated deal that fell apart or was it just total bullshit? (Don't bother to answer unless you actually heard anything about this because, yes, we all know it's most likely bullshit, but I want to know if that was actually confirmed.)
I think Felton was plan-B. They were trying to get into the top-10 and even talked to MN about the #2 to package with Batum and other pieces for Rondo. Larry Miler & Co. obviously couldn't get into the lotto, thus killing the deal.
Andre Miller + Kenneth Faried > Raymond Felton Sucks not having a bright young GM for no good reason at all
I'm not sure why Boston would trade the only player they have that will still be good after the lockout.
Take it for what it is worth, but I had heard it before Wheels and the Mike's started talking about it. My guess to Boston's thinking is that Rondo's elbow injury is worse than thought and he is overrated due to the players around him.
