I went into the article with an open mind, then when the first reason Oregon will win a national championship is about Oregon's fresham class, it definitely loses any credibility.

the rest of the reasons were fine, and I definitely think Oregon has a chance to make it back (tough to go undefeated throughout the year), but including oregons freshman class as one of them screamed "i couldn't think of anything else."

I would have been fine with a "cliff harris" there instead.

:dunno: Ok, I understand your point. But, you did notice it's a "countdown" and what you say is #1 is actually the #10 reason, correct? Open minds are great, comprehending minds are better. :) The actual 1,2,3 reasons go to: LMJ, Chip, DT. Fairly solid reasons...

Let me just throw this out to the open minded:

Sumler is a true FR, could earn a role at WR and runs a true 4.23, 40.

Blackmon was a highly rated recruit with jaw dropping raw skills.

Thomas is right up there with Snoop and Ngata as far as being a highly rated recruit. Reports from practice say he's got a connection with D.T. and they've been hooking up for some sweet 6 scores in practice. The kid has crazy speed, hops and hands.

Lyerla was identified as one of the most athletic big men in the country and ranked #4 at DE/OLB/TE. At 6'5", 235 with serious speed and strength, he could find time on either side of the ball. He returned punts in high school and has been compared to A. Hernandez. I see more of Dante Rosario.

Vaughn is a polished WR recruit ranked #1 in the nation. Not a true FR, but a fresh face.

This doesn't include several RS/FR who could make an impact.

I'm fine at comprehending. I know it was #10, it still has no purpose being on a list of why Oregon will win the NCAA championship.

Um, ok, but you said it was the first reason, when it's actually the last.

Actually, Oregon has a history of receiving impressive productivity out of first year players and considering last years recruiting class was arguably the best in the history of the school, it's actually a legit strength of the team. Oregon fielded several FR who contributed a lot last season.

Oregon's roster includes 47 freshmen or redshirt freshmen. They are young and SEVERAL of these young players will contribute on both sides of the ball.

If you don't take my word for it, take Chip Kelly's.

Multiple True Freshmen Will Score Touchdowns For Ducks:

Oregon has a lot of talented athletes that will be freshman this coming fall. The 2011 recruiting class is widely regarded as the best class in Oregon history.

Early enrollee Colt Lyerla had an outstanding spring and should get plenty of touches on offense from the tight end and H-back positions. In addition to Lyerla speedsters Tacoi Sumler, DeAnthony Thomas, Devon Blackman and B.J. Kelley, all could have an impact during their first season in Eugene.

All you need to know is that it's from bleacherreport. No way in hell Oregon makes it back to the title game. Too many issues on the O-line.

Indeed I did. Because it's the first reason you read when you open the link. #10 in a countdown. I'll adjust it so you can understand it better :)

Why not? Several FR contributed greatly last season. This year even more will get field time.

Possibly... A repeat showing at the NC game would be a lot to ask. I'm actually predicting Rose Bowl, but you never know. Few fans or "experts" foresaw Oregon in the NC game last season. So, it's safe to say, you just never know.

Mark Asper, Carson York and Darrion Weems are proven starters and return. Asper is a true leader. Junior Ryan Clanton, a four-star junior college transfer has really preformed well in practice and appears ready. Ramsen Golpashin, who has appeared in 17 career games is solid. Redshirt freshman Hroniss Grasu and Karrington Armstrong have been competing for center position. Then there's Hamani Stevens a four-star recruit in 2008 who is a beast of a man that can play several positions. While it's true we lost three starters, MANY OL's had major playing time last season and are ready to roll. Greatwood is a strong coach and he'll have the big-hogs ready to roll.

The list below doesn't include all OL who will see PT, but it showcases the talent, size, speed and experience that Oregon's OL will bring to the field, under Greatwood leadership.

    79 Mark Asper 6-7 325 11/08/1985 SR*
    77 Carson York 6-5 297 06/14/1989 SR
    74 Darrion Weems 6-5 305 09/11/1988 SR*
    60 Ryan Clanton 6-5 302 01/16/1990 JR*
    70 Ramsen Golpashi6-4 275 12/27/1988 SR*
    55 Hroniss Grasu 6-3 291 08/12/1991 FR*
    71 Everett Benyard 6-7 325 05/13/1991 SO*
    61 Nick Cody OL 6-5 305 12/13/1989 JR
    63 Mana Greig OL 5-11 297 02/15/1990 SO*
    67 Josh Sanford 6-2 280 02/15/1988 SR
    54 Hamani Stevens 6-3 315 01/04/1990 FR

Poor Beaver fans. Having to pick apart a Bleacher Report article on why Oregon will make the BCS title game again.

Have any OSEwe players beat up military members this summer?

They're still working on the "Why OSU Will Win National Championship" slideshow... unfortunately they can't think of any reasons yet.
