With Approval Rate under 40%, Obama/Dems Go On The Atack! I read over the weekend the Dems strategy has been decided fort he upcoming campaign- attack the GOP! They will lay everything- from the bailout fiasco, to the debt & deficit and even Obamacare all on the GOP. Even those other things passed when the Dems had a huge Congressional majority- all will be blamed on the GOP. It's politics, so true or not, it's a fair plan. It worked against the first Bush presidency, so they are coming back to their roots. Now, to be sure I imagine the GOP will have a similar strategy- it's all the Dem's fault. So here we are, back at watching children play poorly. Politics, I love this game.
He doesn't have a choice. I'm sure he'd rather campaign on his accomplishments, but they've not borne fruit. If he wants to be re-elected he has to make himself the less worse choice. Hope & Change won't work this time.
He's doing a bus tour to Midwest battleground states. Romney is calling it the Magical Misery Tour. Gotta love it.
If you spin Strawberry Fields Forever backwards, I swear you can hear Romney saying "I buried Barak."
Were I Obama and the dems, I'd try a completely different strategy. Rather than play the blame game, which is not only untrue, but a broken and tiring record, I'd play man and try to spin positives off that. I think Americans tolerate an honest loser more so than a liar.
Piss poor by Obama, your the President of the United States....stop blaming everyone else for the mess this country is in...take some fucking responsibility...you know, LEAD...the buck stops with you doesn't it? Oh, I guess not....
The funny thing is, much of the country just wants him to accept a little of it and perhaps alter course slightly. For many, his skin color matters, and because of that they want him to succeed regardless of his political bent or party affiliation. People like a bit of humility and self-deprication in their presidents. It worked for Clinton, it would work for him. Politically, it would be the right move.
For many... it has been a long time since they thought about people in terms of the color of their skin.
I'm with you. But there's a lot of white guilt still out there, for what reason I don't know. Many of those people that feel that guilt voted for Obama to assuage it.
I just think a lot of people are sick of the blame game, particularly from the president of the united states. People are tired of hearing the President point the finger of blame around at everyone else and not himself. He just straight up needs to admit that things are not going well and that as president he accepts a part of the blame and is doing everything he can to rectify it. But for some reason he seems incapable of doing that.
