There's this little thing called the Olympics.. maybe you've heard of it... a few people here and there watch it.
Baseball, on the other hand, can be played by a 50 year old guy who can't even run the bases.... but he can hit the ball!
I ran cross country throughout high school. I still hear to this day from all my buddies that cross country isn't a sport. It easily is a sport and a very rewarding one. I've never been a big fan of baseball, but truth is that baseball probably comes in as the 3rd most popular sport. (maybe fourth behind mma now) It's pretty impressive when the beavers get me watching baseball when they are in the college baseball playoffs.
gotcha its the "INDOOR" that makes them not sports. Gosh darn I wish you were on my side in the civil war
These kinds of debates crack me up. OSU brought a lot of pride to Oregon in baseball. I don't know of a single Duck fan who wasn't rooting for OSU in a serious way. Oregon has won 16 total National Championships in the history of the school. 15 of those National Championships are either in Track and Field or Cross Country. Oregon has sent multiple athletes to the Olympics. Oregon was the birthplace of Nike, Pre and Track Town, USA. It means a lot to the University and Oregon. It has a great fanbase and the student/athletes who participate at Oregon are as passionate about their sport as any program.
