Fact: possession of less than an ounce of marijuana is a violation in Oregon. It is a cite and release offense.

 

Did anyone state differently? IMO, it shouldnt be a violation at all. Weed is no worse than beer/booze IMO.

 

I'd rather be a passenger in a vehicle driven by someone high on dope than drunk on vodka.

and days before the Beaver drunks disobeying their coach's recent orders was front page news on the same media. But now relatively no one cares just like no one cares about that. Both stories are minor nothings in the sports gossip world since Miami came along and trumped everything.

10 people could be accurately be described as lots of people. So could 10% of the American population. I can tell you that here in SF I haven't spoken to one person or overheard anyone talking about it. I did hear them talk about it on a sports talk show. The hosts made a few jokes and were done with it in about a minute. The same hosts gave the Beavs the same treatment a few days earlier. some of those things are pretty serious. I don't think too many people would agree star QB Darron Thomas not smoking weed is one of them. I'm thinking the way that this car was rented could prove to hold more serious consequences then anything Will Lyles related. But pretty certain a couple days pass and the DT portion is yesterday's news much like the Beaver's recent troubles. Young people fuck up as they grow up, most people who've lived a little understand this. Many (North American) people also like watching football and the excitement of that season is upon us. Thats what they care about far more then some petty fuck up

Interesting story by KATU. I think it was right for the OSP officer to do a sobriety test. If he didn't see pot smoke billowing out from the car he shouldn't think to do a vehicle search. i think it was right for the officer to do a basic sobriety test and a speeding ticket.

according to his statement today he was asleep when the car was pulled over. He'd been picked up at PDX following a flight back from Houston. So on top of being tired from a flight, if he's on Houston time it's 6:30 AM
