http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/story/432259p-364245c.htmlThis is another disaster waiting to happen, if they trade to get KMart..He's supposidley been interested for a while..
Why? It would be a good trade. They already have a ton of 2's like Jalen, Q rich and Jamal Crawford. They could afford to package one of those guys with another player and future 2nd rounder to Denver for KMart. They need a PF anyway. I think it would be a good move..
What the Knicks are doing right now obviously isnt working so they need to make some changes. They are overcrowded at the 2 guard and small forward position as well all know so they need to get a PF. This way, Channing Frye will get to practice against a better PF which will ultimatley make him better. This would be a good trade for NY.
Another bad, overpaid player? Yeah the Knicks definitely need him. Martin is a huge question mark right now, the way he performed during the season and all the injuries were horrible. He obviously isn't to happy at Denver and moving him is a good idea, but to New York? Isiah doesn't care about the cap if he made a trade for Martin.
I'll believe it when I see it. In the past 5 years I have heard the Knicks were going to get Antoine Walker, Kenyon Martin, Kevin Garnett, Chris Webber, LEBRON JAMES, etc. etc. etc. They never get any of them.
Yea why not. Take on another long overpayed contract, that is exactly what you need. This is a stupid deal. The guy is making 13+ million and averaged 14 and 6 last year. Dumb move if Isiah pulls the trigger.
The Knicks need to start over. Don't keep one player. Free up as much cap space as possible, and get some egoless guys on your team
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (DRob-50-Forever @ Jul 4 2006, 04:31 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>Because they don't need him either and his contract is longer then any of the players listed.</div>They have never cared about money before and what do you mean they dont need him. they are awful. Kenyon was injured for a good portion of the season so if he gets healthy again, he would be a big asset.
I am going to agree, if he gets healthy again, and his knees under him this could be a good player to get for the Knicks. When healthy, he is a good offensive power forward and one of the best running big men in the league. With Thomas taking the training wheels off of the New York Knicks, and going to let them run on the break, Kenyon Martin could be a very good pick down low. Him and Channing Frye are both pretty athletic and quick big men, and both would help this team play faster. I actually think this could be a good pickup.
Now that I think of it, Quentin Richardson would be PERFECT for Denver. They need the shooting, and Q was just put in a bad situation with Larry Brown (not knocking on LB, just the whole situation with players/coaches). I think Denver would be perfect for Q-Rich, and he would have a nice year.
Don't you guys just love watching the Knicks drown in their own stupidity? You would think after what has happened they wouldn't be going after these people/contracts...This is never going to end, the Knicks already have Channing Frye and David Lee at power forward.

AND Malik Rose. Isiah is an idiot and the worst GM I think I have ever known of. Does he really want his job? Like I said above, it would be real nice for Denver if they can bring over Q-Rich, but for New York it's pointless. Another big contract, a guy that has had problems with his attitude, and a guy that is injured frequently. Isiah shouldn't be fired, he should be shot.

I don't understand how people stick with that team. That franchise is screwed for the next - at least - 6 years. Get all those contracts out of there Isiah, don't bring more in!I think to myself - I would be a better GM than Isiah. I really would lol.

Who besides the Knicks would touch Francis right now?As for K-Mart, he fits right in with the Knicks concept of getting highly paid underachievers. What would be great is if the Nuggets bought him out and the Nets signed him :happy0144:
well the knicks just really need cap space and jalen rose and allen houston's contracts arent helping then add on maurice taylor, stephon marbury, steve francis and im not sure how large eddy curry and jerome jame's contracts are but they are in trouble with money witch is no surprise to anyone gettin g Kmart would be alright if they loose some of those contracts, trade jame's contract in a package with someone like quentin richardson and denver could give the knicks a pick as well(the knicks need some picks)
