Joel Pryzbilla is going to sign and stay with the Blazers, according to Steve Patterson. Link - The Oregonian Blazers Blog
Yeah nice job on the Blazers keeping him. If they let him go it would just go to show how even more stupid they are, after making all those moves draft day and all. They need SOME experience on their team and I think that he can give them a little boost, but still they are no where near where they need to be as of now.
Awesome for Portland. No way they could have lost both Przy and Ratliff, that would have been terrible. While Przybilla does nothing remarkable, he is a solid center in this league and he's come a long way since first comming into the league. I have nothing but respect for him. He works hard and he's a proffessional.
Great signing, just because Spurs didn't get him. But for Blazers, they needed a better frontcourt presence and he really wanted to stay with them. Least loyalty is still in the NBA.
Is he nuts? After losing Nazr the Spurs probably would've offered him great money. Maybe not as much as the Blazers, but San Antonio is so much better than Portland. I guess some players only care about the greenbacks.

It came down to a combination of loyalty and money.
I hope that he can play good minutes for the Blazers while at the same time give LaMarcus Aldridge good minutes to grow. Nonetheless Joel is a great shotblocker and should continue to improve in Portland.

I'm sure the Spurs would've upped their offer after losing Nazr, or they could've worked out a sign and trade. Anyway, I feel bad for the guy. I'm sure he's going to regret this down the road. Actually I don't feel bad for him because he's rich and plays basketball for a living. Lucky!
Also, don't forget the Spurs basically did not play Nazr or Rasho much at all in the playoffs. And I see why Przybilla resigned, he's been a journeyman and is tired of moving. Also, Blazers have a good youth movement right now, while Spurs are getting older. So I think he made the right decision.
Good for him! I miss the old days of rivalries and players staying on teams. I think he only stayed because after seeing all the trades he realized management is trying, and they are.I admire them for trying to get out of bottom dweller status unlike the old Raptors or Knicks.
I like this young Blazer team, but they have to get Randolph/Miles out of there. They both publicly said they don't want to be there and they aren't exactly role models for the youth. But I like this lineup for the future:C: Joel PrzybillaPF: LaMarcus AldridgeSF: Martell WebsterSG: Brandon RoyPG: Jarrett JackI like that young lineup a lot, hopefully this organization turns around.
Good signing for the Blazers as the Suns let all their chances at a good player slip away. Terrible offseason so far.

Manu and Parker were excellent picks for San Antonio a few years ago. I don't think center is that important for the Spurs, they won the championship in 2005 with Rasho and Nazr running the center. As long as you have Tim Duncan on your team you will be a contender, I'm sure they could fill the hole with any decent/average center using the MLE or something.

But hey, I'm not complaining - thanks for Rondo! :happy0144:
It's too bad Przybilla was so out of shape in Milwaukee, now he's in shape and doing well. Joel is a good guy and someone Portland is smart for keeping. Looks like LaMarcus Aldridge is coming off the bench.
All I have to say is the Spurs are probably really mad they did not get him. But ow well who cares I am not a Spurs fan. :yahoo:
