USC coach Lane Kiffin said Friday he was relieved when the NCAA announced Wednesday that it did not find any major violations during his tenure at Tennessee. Kiffin spent a little more than a year at Tennessee before going to USC in January 2010, and was charged with at least 12 minor violations while serving as the Volunteers' coach. But the NCAA committee on infractions did not find in its investigation, which began in December 2009, any evidence to support findings of major violations. "I was really relieved for our program and for Tennessee," Kiffin said Friday. "Starting with our program, this was hanging over our head, kind of, and people had used it against us in recruiting, that there were gonna be penalties coming towards me or towards our staff.
