Mr. Harris and Alonso: when you're done being knuckleheads, we could really, really use you.

Oregon coach Chip Kelly said today that there is no timeline for when cornerback Cliff Harris and linebacker Kiko Alonso could return from their indefinite suspensions.

“We will address that as a staff this week,” he said during a conference call with reporters.

Kelly was pleased with his defensive effort.

“I thought our defense played really well,” he said. “We put them on a short field a lot of times, but I thought Dewitt Stuckey played really well in his first start, and Michael Clay played outstanding. For the D-linemen, I thought (Brandon) Hanna, (Dion) Jordan played well, and Taylor Hart, and Anthony Gildon and John Boyett played really well in the secondary.”

At least a dozen Ducks made their collegiate debuts on Saturday, including five true freshmen: running backs De’Anthony Thomas and Tra Carson, offensive lineman Jake Fisher, cornerback Ifo Ekpre-Olomu and tight end Colt Lyerla
