That's not good, I'm thinking. He was popular with the players and really went out of his way to work with them. What do you say, HCP?
I am happy with this move. One more person from the old regime of injury plagued seasons out of the way. IMO, Portland needs a clean slate of coaches, medical staff, and management.
Good for Bill Bayno, tough break for the Blazers. Hard to fault anybody if they have a chance to get out of "Dysfunction Junction" and go work for a class guy like Rick Adelman.
Bayno wants to coach under Rick Adelman. The media hates Kahn, but he sure produces when it comes to constant change. Articles say, how can Adelman turn down Minnesota, when they're offering him $5M per year? Well, that's what Allen paid McMillan beginning 6 years ago. So McMillan must be making more than that now. We could have had Adelman for less than McMillan. The media pictures Kahn as a loser, but you notice he keeps making personnel changes at will.
Damn. If this is true, this is a big loss! Billy is very respected by players and other coaches around the league! I wish him luck! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk..... Cause I'm a balla'!

Note I said Rick Adelman. If he was just leaving to go be Bernie Bickerstaff Jr.'s back-bench guy, my opinion would be 540 degrees different (my head would spin around at least once before I regained my senses).
Ooh, so if the coach is steady, it's ok. I'd say, as much as I dislike Nate's coaching, he's just as stable as Rick is. The instability is based in the management of both teams.
For an assistant? Sure, mostly. And in the case of Adelman it sounds like he's been given a great deal of power outside of Kahn's influence. Why Bayno left the Blazers I really have no idea.
Interesting article on Bayno from the Columbian. http://www.columbian.com/news/2011/sep/16/bayno-has-big-impact-on-those-in-portland/
